Research Abstract |
Having considered the original objectives of school libraries, it can be said that there exist many problems concerning with the way how the library space is provided in each school with the open learning area. First, there is a tendency to divide library books into each classroom placing them on the open area which belongs to each grade without having a central library provided. As a result, I can obtain a good effect which makes children feel more familiar to books. But, at the same time, organizing books can't be processed smoothly and children's ability to select the right books for then according to their reading levels in getting harder to be improved. Secondly, the importance of having full-time library staff is ignored. As a result, the recognition of necessity to have media specialists is getting more scarce than before. The ideal style of school library in the school building with new types of learning area is suggested in this paper as a conclusion.
