Research Abstract

銅酸化物の本質である「強相関」は、大変困難な問題であるために回答を出すには至らないものの、理解に向けて着実な進歩があった。
1.電子状態:超伝導を担うキャリアが主として酸素上のp軌道ホールであることはほぼ確定しているが、その他にどのような成分が含まれているか、また、このキャリアの性質を規定するパラメーターの大きさが、バンド理論に基づく電子状態の計算及び有限クラスターでのエネルギースペクトルの計算結果と光電子分光の実験を比較することにより決定された。(小谷、藤森、倉本、金森、寺倉、柳瀬、糟谷)また、酸素上のホールのマーデルングエネルギーの比較から絶縁体・超伝導体の分類が行われ、更に臨界温度との関係さえ推論された。(近藤、前川)
2.モデル化とモデル計算:1.をもとに、電気抵抗などの低エネルギー励起を記述する適当なモデルについて考察された。(前川、福山)一方、種々のモデルが有限系について数値的に解かれ、エネルギースペクトル及び相関関数が調べられ、各々のモデルの持つ物理的内容が明らかにされつつある。(斯波、今田、倉本)特に、1次元系ハバード模型についてはベーテ仮説に基づいた厳密解を数値的に厳密に解くことにより、興味ある事実が明らかにされた。(斯波)モット絶縁体に導入された1コのホール運動については、古くから興味をもたれていたが、この問題についても理解が深まった。(前川、高橋(慶))更に適当な濃度を持つ系についての多体論的研究としては、dーpモデルに基づいたギャップの状態の可能性(松浦、立木)、tーJモデルによる新しいスピン構造あるいは分数統計粒子(エニオン)についての考察が行われた。(吉岡、福山)加えて現象論的に揺らぎ(恒藤)、トンネル効果(立木)が調べられた。以上の強相関系の他にBa(Pb,Bi)O_3、(BaK)BiO_3等の電子・格子相互作用などについての理解も深まった。(望月)
