Research Abstract

機能材料は材料と気相、液相および固相との界面における物質移動を通じて作製されるため、優れた機能を持つ材料を創製するためには、界面における物質移動と界面反応の制御が不可欠である。そこで、われわれは気相、液相および固相の総合的立場から研究を進め、以下の成果を得ることが出来た。
(河合)コンピュ-タ-制御エキシマレ-ザMBE法を用いて、(Ca,Sr)CuO_2薄膜を(Ca,Sr)層とCuO_2層とを交互に積み重ねて作製することに成功した。この方法をさらに発展させ6層のCuO_2をSrO_2・BiO層で挟んだ新物質を人工的に作製することができ、Natureに発表した。また、Bi系超伝導体単結晶を作製し、この上に界面の構造が同じであるBi系半導体膜を原子層レベルで成長させることが出来、RHEED反射強度の振動現象から膜成長の機構について議論を行った。
(岡本、高田)磁性薄膜への注入加速電圧を3段階に分け、N^+_2イオン注入による磁性の向上と磁気構造の解明を行った。メスバウア-効果等の測定を行い、αーFe_<16>N_2を構成する3種類のFe原子の磁気モ-メントを、それぞれ実験的に決定し、その磁気構造を明らかにした。
(山中)層状結晶CaSi_2の結晶性配向膜の合成をおこなった。この薄膜はバルクのCaSi_2と異なり、ブランソン洗浄にも耐久性の優れた膜であることが明らかになった。現在、電子材料としての機能について検討中。
(南)これまでに、数々の高イオン伝導性アモルファス材料の開発に成功してきたが、特にデバイスとして用いたときの材料界面の安定性の向上を図るため、融液制御法で雰囲気を厳密に制御することによって、多量のCuBrを含み、安定で高いイオン伝導性を持つ超イオン伝導ガラスの作製に成功した。
