準結晶の構造と成長機構

Research Abstract

本年度に得られた成果を列記する。
1) AlーPdーMn,AlーPdーRe3元系及びAlーPdー(VーCr,FeーCo,MoーRu)4元系で安定な準結晶を見いだし、それらがe/aの特別な値のところで現れる一種のHumeーRothery相であることを確認した。
2) AlーNiーFe2次元準結晶が正5角形対称をとる新しい2次元準結晶であることを見いだした。
3) AlーNiーCo系正10角形相において良質な単方位の準結晶の製作に成功し、種々の実験に用いられた。
4) AlーNiーCo正10角形準結晶は、高温で安定な相で、低温で構造転移を起こすことが見いだした。また、高温相は、高い規則性をとる準結晶であることを見いだした。
5)上記の準結晶の高分解能電子顕微鏡観察から、理想的な2次元準結晶の構造モデルを提出した。
6)AlーMnーSi,AlーMgーCu準結晶の高精度X線回折実験を基に、菱形30面体クラスタ-モデルの精密化を行った。
7)準結晶合金相の原子配列は、正20面体及び正10角形あるいは正5角形対称をとる原子クラスタ-がある結合則で空間を埋めた構造で理解出来ることを明らかにした。その結合則は、マッチングル-ルで縛られたペンロ-ズタイリングよりもランダムタイリングとして理解できる。
8)AlーNiーCo,AlーCuーCo準結晶において、準結晶一結晶転移を見いだし、それを利用した機能素子の検討が行われている。
