Research Abstract

米澤の研究では、既に提案した、並列オブジェクト指向言語の計算モデルの一つであるアクタモデルに基づいた新しいリフレクティブな計算のモデルGroupーwide Reflecーtionに関してさらなる考察を行ない、モデルの正当性や、その応用などに関して様々な結果を得た。また、既に作成したリフレクティブな計算が表現可能な並列オブジェクト指向言語ABCL/Rに対して、Groupーwide reflectionの成果をとり入れ、新たに言語ABCL/R2を提案作成した。
大内の研究では、リフレクション機能を持つ関数型言語Brownのインタプリタの代数的仕様記述を与えた。これは項書き換えシステムとして解釈可能な等式の集合であるため、リダクションにより直接実行可能である。また、従来の高階のラムダ計算に基づくものと異なり、一階の等式論理に基づいているため、プログラムに関する形式的な推論に適している。さらに、人間にとっても直接的に理解しやすい意味をもっているため、インプリメントや言語の拡張をしやすいと考えている。
佐々の研究では、インクリメンタルな属性評価法について研究した。これは一般に、ソ-スプログラムに対する属性付き解析木が与えられているときに、ソ-スプログラムの一部が修正されたとき、必要最小限の再解析を行うだけで属性付き解析木を修正する方法である。属性付き解析木をオブジェクト、ソ-スプログラムを外界と考えると、これはリフレクティブなモデルとなっている。
中島の研究では、分散オペレ-ティング・システムToMに関する研究を行なった。ToMの特徴の一つは、プログラムの単位であるモジュ-ルと、実行の単位であるスレッドを分離していることである。モジュ-ルをオブジェクト、スレッドのRPCをメッセ-ジと考えると、これは並列オブジェクト指向言語の一種とみなせる。しかもOSの機能自身もRPCで呼び出されるので、リフレクションにより実現されている。
