| Research Abstract |
重点領域研究の総括班としての活動は以下の通りである。
1.総括班会議の開催。合計4回の班会議を開催し,研究計画の立案シンポジウムおよびワ-クショップの計画実行,研究交流の企画を行った。さらに下部組織として実行委員会をもうけ,計画の実行に当らせると共に,研究成果の交流をはかり研究を推進するために,実点領域ニュ-スレタ-を刊行し,NO.1からNO.4までを発刊した。
2.夏のワ-クショップ:研究を推進するため蓼科高原において,8月28〜30日の3日間,「脳の高次機能」をテ-マとするワ-クショップを開催した。班員を含め合計150名を越す参加者があり,脳の高次機能研究の戦略をめぐって,多くの研究発表と活発な討論が行なわれた。
3.第1回シンポジウムの開催:脳の高次機能の研究成果を公開する目的で,京都教育文化センタ-において,「脳とニュ-ラルネット」と題するシンポジウムを開催した。参加者は300名にものぼり,たいへんな盛況であった。
なお,本シンポジウムにおける講演の一部は,成果の一部として公開される予定である。
4.冬のワ-クショップ:夏に比べてより実質的な研究交流を行う目的で,1月16〜18日の3日間,蔵王温泉において冬のワ-クショップを開催した。参加人員は約50名で,実質的な討議が深夜におよぶまで行なわれた。
