Research Abstract	1.時間分解能と周波数分解能向上を中心とする常磁性化学研究法の開拓:時間分解ESR技法に関しては,パルスESR法を用いた実験が順調に行われてきたが,さらに装置並びに解析法における問題点が検討された。また,高周波ESR装置に関する製作上並びに測定上の問題について積極的な検討が行われた。ENDOR法に関しては、短寿命分子種について高速測定の有用性から、現段階において計画されている実験の結果が期待されている。このように最先端の研究法が検討され、装置の高速化による改良が進められている。 2.励起状態における常磁性種のスピン間相互作用の諸問題:CIDEP法,CIDNP法をはじめ,時間分解ESR法の実験が順調に行われ,芳香族分子の励起三重項状態に関する斬新的な研究デ-タが数多く報告されている。また,代表的な芳香族配位子とそれらの反磁性金属イオン錯体についても,興味ある結果が多数発表されている。さらに、励起状態における水素引き抜き反応について詳細な検討が行われている。 3.金属錯体における活性とスピン間相互作用:銅(II)をはじめ数種の金属錯体について、ESR法並びに高速掃引ENDOR法による測定を行い、中心金属および配位子の磁性核と不対電子とのスピン間相互作用を解析して、構造研究に著しい成果を挙げている。これらの結果をふまえ、金属錯体の周囲に存在するイオンの空間的配置と電子構造の特性とを考慮した特徴ある研究が進行中である。 4.凝縮相捕足フリ-ラジカルにおける活性:高スピン分子種については、中性化学種ばかりでなく、高スピンイオンラジカルのESR法による研究が初めて行われ、興味ある結果が得られた。二重項状態のラジカルに関しては、特にカチオンラジカルについて著しい発展があった他、イオン対についても興味ある成果が得られている。
