Research Abstract	本研究班は,平成4年度発足重点領域研究「免疫系と神経・内分泌系との相互制御機構」の申請準備を目的としている。そのため上記6名を中核としたメンバ-が数回にわたって検討会を開いた。本年の会議で特徴的であったのは,班員として申請したメンバ-にこだわらず,新しく申請する重点領域研究に参加してもらう人を主体としたことである。2月には,新メンバ-による申請書検討会を開き,午後には,免疫系と神経内分泌系との相互調節」と題するシンポジウムを東大山上会館(東京都文京区)において開催した。参加者は約120人であり,盛会であったと評価できる。演者は,当総会B班より1名新申請領域メンバ-より4名であった。その後も,電話やFAXによって申請書内容を検討しあい,その結果、印刷ペ-ジ17ペ-ジ,とじこみ参考資料2件の申請書と,4ペ-ジの申請書概要が2月末に完成し,60部を文部省学術国際局研究助成課へ提出した。当重点領域研究は,平成2年度および3年度発足として,類似の領域名で二度申請したが,第一次審査を通過したものの最終的には不採択であった。その原因について今年度は綿密に検討し,班構成の変更,総括班の充実などの多くの改善を図った。なお,当申請領域が採択された場合にも総合B班は編成しなければならず,不採択の場合には平成5年発足として申請を重ねる予定であるので,いずれにしとも平成3年度の総合B班は必要であることから,それを申請ずみである。
