| Research Abstract |
神経細胞死は、1)第1班において行なわれる各種神経細胞死の原因ーMPTP及びその関連物質,ミトコンドリアエネルギ-代謝障害,フリ-ラディカル,興奮性アミノ酸などーにより生ずる。また2)第2班で行なわれる神経細胞死が遺伝子異常に起因しても生じてくる。平成3年度より3年間の予定で行なわれる「神経難病における神経細胞死の機序と修復・防御」の重点領域研究をより実りのあるものとするため,その計画班員29名よりなる実施準備の会議を平成2年12月9日,東京ガ-デンパレスにおいて行なった。会議は盛会で,本来の「神経細胞死」の研究目標にずばり切り込んだ発表がなされ,最後に行なわれた情報交換の場でも協同研究の推進など,実りの多いものとなった。平成3年夏に予定されているワ-クショップに先だつこと約半年に,この様な班員会議を持つことができたことは,事実上,半年先に繰り上げて重定領域研究がスタ-トできたことになり,極めて有意義であった。また総括班会議では,高久班員より,すでに発足している「脳の老化」(代表:宮武正)とも密接な連絡をするようにとの意向が提出され,今後,何等かの形での合同会議などを行なうことが検討された。本研究(総合B)は、主として上記会議の運営,旅費等に当てられた。また,筑内大学にある遺伝子バンクの発展のためにも1部経費を充当すると共に,研究計画委員会,総括班会議,審査会運営にも経費を割り当てた。
