| Research Abstract |
EPAの酸化LDL産生抑制作用 ラビットにEPAを投与し得られたEPA-richのLDLをCa^<++>存在下でのLDLの酸化度をMDA値でもって表示した。興味ある所見としてEPA-richのLDLでは過酸化脂質の産生が低下しており、酸化LDL産生が抑制されることが判明した。
血管平滑筋細胞におけるプロスタサイクリン(PGI_2)産生促進作用EPA投与により、EPA由来のPGI_3のみならず、アラキバン酸(AA)由来のPGI_2産生亢進がみられる。この際抗酸化剤を添加するとPGI_2産生亢進が抑制されることを定出した。このことは培養血管平滑筋細胞に於て産生されたEPA由来の少量の過酸化脂質がシクロオキシゲナーゼ活性を刺激しその結果PGI_2産生が増加した可能性を示唆するものである。
