Research Abstract |
"Jorurizasshi" was published for the first time in the 32nd year of the Meiji-period(1899) and appeared until the 20th year of the Showa-period(1945). The total compilation makes up a series of 425 volumes.(*) Although "Jorurizasshi" is said to be merely an information sheet for amateur-gidayu, a closer look reveals that by its critics about performances, research articles, photographs and biographies about famous actors, a much wider range is covered including professional-gidayu, too. The purpose of this report is to give a differentiated table of contents of the "Jorurizasshi", mainly those of the Meiji- and the Taisho-period. This has been the fundamental part of the author's research. The result of this research displays a publication consisting of three parts. First, the table of contents appearing during the Meiji-period(Volumes 1-99). Second, the table of contents during the Taisho-period(Volumes 100-245, including an extra volume). Third, materials used for the 43rd conference of "the Society for Research in Asiatic Music". (*)Among these, vol.18 could not be found. Yet, between No.99 and No.100 an extra volume had been published.
