Research Abstract |
THE AUTHOR INVESTIGATED AND RESEARCHED THE EASTERN AND WESTERN CULTURES OF JAPAN AND THE CULTURE OF RYUKYU, INCLUDING THE CULTURE OF AINU IN HOKKAIDO FOR 3 YEARS OF 1991 TO 1993. AS RESULTS OF THE INVESTIGATION AND RESEARCH, A VARIETY OF INTERESTING AND SIGNIFICANT FACTS ARE FOUND. THE MAJOR FACTS ARE SET FORTH BELOW. 1. THE CARRIAGE TOOL CARRIED ON THE BACK COULD BE CLASSIFIED IN 5 CATEGORIES. 2. THE STUDY DEMONSTRATED THE PROCESS HOW SHOIKO, A TOOL CARRIED ON THE BACK WHICH IS VERY OFTEN DISCOVERED IN THE EASTERN REGION OF JAPAN, AND KARENAWA, A STRAW ROPE TOOL CARRIED ON THE BACK WHICH IS VERY OFTEN DISCOVERED IN THE WESTERN REGINS OF JAPAN, HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE AUTHOR COULD COMPARE A CULTURE USING THE TREE BARK FOUND IN THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN REGIONS OF JAPAN WITH A CULTURE USING BAMBOOS FOUND IN THE SOUTHERN AND WESTERN REGIONS OF JAPAN. IN ADDITION, THE STUDY COULD NOT ONLY EXPLAIN SPECIFIC AND ACTUAL CONDITIONS OF ZARU OR KAGO, A BASKET OF BAMBOO, BUT ALSO CONSIDER THE CULTURAL COMPARISON BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN REGIONS OF JAPAN.
