相対論的重イオン衝突による電子状態遷移の理論的研究

Research Abstract

1相対論的なエネルギ-にまたがる高エネルギ-イオン衝突の特異現象として、2次ボルンが1次ボルンよりも支配的になるト-マス過程が知られている。昨年度開発したガウス基底展開による緊密結合法により、非摂動論的手法による解析に世界で初めて成功したが、さらに古典軌道モンテカルロ法によって解析することにも成功した。最初ト-マスによる予言は古典論によってなされたため、古典論の枠内では確立された理論体系として長く受け取られていたが、今回の厳密計算では逆に、古典論では主要項ではなく摂動展開の逆ざやを引き起こさないことが初めて指摘された。
2上記の研究に関連して、イオン衝突に広く適用されている古典軌道モンテカルロ法の妥当性が問題となり、量子効果の著しい、配向、整合効果を純量子論的な計算と比較する事により、調べた。波動関数の位相が直接関係する量に対しても、古典論はしばしば信頼できる値を与えることがわかり、まったく表現できない物理量とどのような相違点があるのか、今後のさらに詳しい研究が必要なことが指摘された。
3昨年度の緊密結合法をさらに大規模に拡張し、計算を行った。いままで考えられていたよりもはるかに小さい部分波しかト-マス過程に寄与しないことが確かめられた。また、緊密結合法との対比、補足を目的として、2次ボルンの厳密計算を実行した。この結果、いままで2次で収束すると安易に考えられていたのは正しくなく、連続状態間の結合により、3次のオ-ダ-まで大きく寄与していることが判明した。
