Research Abstract

超高圧を利用した物質作製プロセスに関しては、新しい機能性材料であるダイヤモンドの高純度化のために、成長ファセットの制御によって育成用溶融剤元素の包含を抑制することが出来た。また原料と育成実験雰囲気からの窒素排除を試み、窒素に関しても高純度化することが出来た(若槻)。さらに超高圧による黒鉛→六方晶ダイヤモンド変換過程をX線回折で追跡し、六方晶ダイヤモンドの出現過程を世界で初めてその場観察し、変換機構考察の重要な立脚点を構築した(八木)。
Cu(Au)合金上へのMBE成長によって非平衡格子定数を実現したfccーFe磁性薄膜に関しては、0〜4%の範囲で格子定数拡大を与えた。拡大率1%付近では原子当り磁気モ-メントは0.5〜0.7μ_B/%という大きな変化を示し、また観測された最大磁気モ-メントは2.5〜2.7μ_B(予想限界2.8〜3.0μ_B)で、高飽和磁化膜実現が期待される(松井)。
生成熱を利用する超高温急速反応法(自己燃焼法)に関しては、雰囲気ガスの高圧(密度)化やや原料固体の形態、組成によって反応を制御し、設計された傾斜組成分布を持つ複合体セラミックス(TiC/Ni)を作製し、強度の向上を確認した(宮本)。
通常の化学反応では実現しない新規高温化学反応を、ラジオ波及びマイクロ波を使用した非平衡プラズマプロセスで実現し、バナジウム含有有機金属化合物から幅広い電気伝導性や光伝導性をを有する高分子/金属多相系薄膜を合成し、高周波振動数、プラズマエネルギ-等が膜構造と特性に与える影響を明らかにした(長田)。
材料作製への表面光化学反応の利用と反応解析では、SOR光に集光鏡を組み合わせ、従来の10倍に強化した極端紫外光源を実現し、固体表面での金属カルボニル、アルキル金属化合物の吸着と分解、表面の触媒作用等を観察し、極端光強度下の光化学の知見を集積した(佐藤)。
