Research Abstract	標記研究課題について、班員9名の研究実績は以下のとおりである。阿波賀はαーニトロニルニトロキサイドにピリジン環、ピリジニウム環を導入したものが、強磁性的分子間相互作用を有することを新たに見いだし、結晶構造からその原理を明らかにした。伊藤は二次元ポリカルベン型ヘキサキスカルベンを合成し、これが有機分子としては最高のスピン多重度を持つ基底十三重項分子であることを、単結晶ESRにより証明した。沢木はジアゾ化合物の一電子酸化で生ずるπーラジカルカチオンがσーラジカル構造に変換すること、またこれがクラウンエ-テルの存在で安定化されることを見いだした。竹内は種々のシクロプロペニリウムイオンと超安定炭素陰イオンとの反応で、炭化水素塩と共有結合体の生成を精密に制御することに成功し、炭素陽イオンの安定性と塩生成の関係を明らかにした。戸部は[6]パラシクロファンおよびそのナフタレン、アントラセン誘導体と求核種との反応が、一般アルキルベンゼンとは異なり芳香核で起こることを見いだし、立体歪みと反応性の関係を明らかにした。富岡は極低温不活性ガスマトリックス条件下で基底三重項カルベンと酸素との反応を詳細に検討し、反応中間体における光異性化の機構を明らかにした。中垣は4ーニトロー1ーナフトキシ骨格とアニリノ基をもつメチレン鎖連結系の光酸化還元反応の磁場効果を検討し、分子内反応と分子間反応との分岐比が外部磁場の影響を受けることを明らかにした。務台は電子受容基と電子供与基をメチレン鎖で連結した化合物を合成し、光励起電子移動が結合経由で起こること、また、これが長いメチレン鎖で有利であることを実証した。山口は有機強磁性体パラニトロフエニルニトロキシドの磁性発現機構を量子化学計算によって解析し、HOMOのエネルギ-レベルがスピン分極に著しく影響することを示した。
