Research Abstract

本研究班の研究課題は、非常に多岐に渡っているが、本年度に得られた主要な成果は以下の通りである。(尚、本研究班の研究会を平成3年11月25、26日(実験系)及び12月24、25日(理論系)に行い、分担者相互の連絡を取るとともに今後の研究の方針についても討議した。研究会の講演要旨は既に小冊子として印刷されている。)
1)高密度中性クラスタ-の発生:サイズ選別したクラスタ-イオンを光脱離により中性化し、高密度に収束させる実験を炭素10量体について行った(都立大グル-プ)。その結果、イオン状態よりも中性状態のほうがはるかに高密度化が計れることが確かめられた。今後、装置パラメ-タ-の最適化により、さらに高密度化を実現する。
2)トラップによるクラスタ-の閉じ込め:RFトラップによる炭素クラスタ-の閉じ込め実験が開始され、正負イオンの同時閉じ込めが確認された(都立大グル-プ)。
3)質量分析法等による多彩な研究:合金クラスタ-の反応性(慶応大グル-プ)、希ガスクラスタ-の振動状態、安定性(東大グル-プ)、金属クラスタ-のス-パ-シェル構造(阪大グル-プ)、金属及び半導体クラスタ-の光物性(神戸大グル-プ)、フラ-レンの単離と物性測定(三重大、都立大グル-プ)等の研究が着々と進んでいる。
4)理論的解析(理論グル-プ):超微粒子内の励起子と光学非線型性、クラスタ-のトンネル分光、液体金属超微粒子、超微粒子の構造と動力学、高温超伝導体のクラスタ-理論、超微粒子の統計力学、金属クラスタ-の分裂等について精力的に研究されている。
