Research Abstract	1.自由生活性細菌ならびに細胞器官に共通するタンパク質、シャベロニンの抗体を用いた免疫組織化学およびイムノブロッティングにより、アブラムシの細胞内共生体のうち一次共生体はより細胞器官に、二次共生体はより自由生活性細菌に近いことを示した。 2.根粒菌と近縁なアグロバクテリウムの感染により植物細胞に転移した遺伝子が進化の過程で植物細胞に固定し、しかも発現しているユニ-クな例を明かにした。 3.ゾウリムシの核内共生細菌による宿主大核特異的感染のしくみを調べる一端として、共生細菌の一方の端に特異的に存在する抗原を認識するモノクロ-ナル抗体を作製した。 4.下等シロアリのなかで、コウシュンシロアリの腸内原虫はヤマトシロアリとはまったく異なる属のものであること、また、オオシロアリの原虫相は少なくともトリコモナス目を2種、オキシモナス目を6種、超鞭毛虫目を12種含むことがわかった。さらに、高等シロアリであるタカサゴシロアリの腸内にはスピロヘ-タを主とする多種類の原核生物が生息することが明かになった。 5.4の結果と関連させつつ、消化管内でシロアリと共生関係にある微生物の多種系について、個体数のダイナミックスの数理モデルを構築し、各微生物の個体数の維持機構を明かにしつつある。 6.繁殖適応度を念頭に置いた数理モデルの構築によって、異種生物間の関係が寄生から相利共生へ移行する条件について考察を深めた。
