Research Abstract

本年度の研究実施計画に従って、ほぼ毎月2回の頻度で研究会を開催し、研究経過の報告と意見交換を行った。また、9月に外国研究者を含めたコンファレンスを、12月に本年度研究を統括するコンファレンスを開催した。
経済システムにおける社会制度と社会環境のあり方を、情報、インセンティブ・経済組織・社会慣行などのさまざまな新しい視点から分析を行うことに重点をおいた研究活動を行った。特に社会制度という視点からは、成員間の共同作業にただ乗りするインセンティブを押さえるために、国家という形で協力する枠組みを非協力ゲ-ムを使って分析し(岡田など)、民主主義と個人の自由を確保しながら社会的に整合的な意志決定の枠組みを再構築する(鈴村など)試みなどに重点をおいた。また権限を下部に委譲しながらも、職務の範囲が明確でない日本的な組織がなぜ採用されるのかを、インセンティブや情報の観点から理論的に分析し(伊藤秀史、藤原など)、異なる国で異なる社会慣行がなぜ生まれるか、それらは人間行動にどんな違いをもたらすかなどを、理論・実験の両面から検討した(藤原、西條など)。
社会環境の側面では、地球温暖化と国際的な所得分配に焦点を当て、望ましい環境政策のあり方を探る(宇沢など)と共に、出生率・情報化・国際化などが経済成長・マクロ経済システム・金融市場などにどんな影響を与えるかを主に理論的に考察する(西村和雄、西村清彦、塩沢など)ことに力を注いだ。
この他、非分割財市場におけるコアの性格(和光)、特許がない場合の研究開発インセンティブ(船木、中山、武藤など)、最適直接税と労働インセンティブ(川又など)の分野で新しい知見が得られた。
