Research Abstract	主に原研改造3号炉に設置した冷中性子、および熱中性子散乱用測定装置を用いて、広範な分野で見られる物質の高次構造と1次構造の関係、それらの構造や運動と物性や機能の関係を中心テーマとして研究を行ってきた。最終年度である今年度は、特に非弾性散乱、および時分割実験法を用いた物質の運動の研究に重点をおき、総合的な取りまとめを行った。金属・合金や高分子材料の諸性質が相分離後の高次構造と密接に関係しているので、各種物質の相分離過程を小角散乱によって時間追跡し、その機構と構造形態を明らかにし、物性制御(物質設計)の可能性を示した。同様に磁性材料については、中性子磁気散乱によりその磁気構造と磁化過程を追跡した。また、広範な高温酸化物超伝導体の示す特異な磁気的励起・揺らぎや格子振動を観測し、超伝導性と磁性の関係を整理した。さらに競合する相互作用を持つ系や重い電子系の示す特異な相転移現象や磁気構造、低温、強磁場中での弾性、非弾性両手法によりその発現機構を明らかにした。高分子においては、ABA型三元ブロック共重合体のミクロ相分離構造中での分子形態を明らかにし、アモルファス高分子の分子鎖の運動の様子や結晶化過程の誘導期のミクロな機構を解明した。生体物質においては、酵母産生B型肝炎ワクチン中での外殻蛋白質の分布の決定、リゾチーム結晶の分子レベルでの凝集会合構造の解明、ATP合成酵素の構造と機構の解明などに成功した。さらに、開発研究においては熱発光蛍光体検出器を用いた中性子カメラの開発に成功する一方、動的回折現象を利用したフォノンの固有ベクトル決定方法を新しく開発した。
