Research Abstract

第9回三元および多元化合物国際会議(ICTMC9)が1993年8月に横浜で開催されることに向けて、関連分野の基礎および応用研究について、最近の研究の動向を探る調査研究を行った。その一つとして、1991年11月21日、22日の二日間にわたり、長岡技術科学大学において、総合研究(B)研究会を開催した。研究発表は12件、ポスタ-セッション19件で延べ120名の参加があり、活発な情報交換、討論の場を持つことができた。ここでとりあげられたテ-マは、三元、多元化合物のバルク結晶、薄膜(エピタキシャル)、の結晶成長とその光物性、電気物性、磯性に関するもの、また応用として太陽電池材料の作製と評価などがあり、そ他新物性、新デバイスに関する研究発表もあった。これらの研究発表を受けて、当日、総合研究(B)としてのICTMCー9プログラム委員会も開催し、盛り込むべきスコ-プの選択について議論した。その結果、ICTMC論文委員会において協議するための土台となるプログラム編成案を作成することができた。
その他、適宜に会合を開催し招待講演者を選定その他ICTMCー9のテ-マの内容に関する突っ込んだ議論を行った。
結論として、今回の総合研究(B)補助金により、ICTMCー9に関心のある研究者(総合研究分担者他)間の情報交換を十分に行うことができ、その結果に基づいてプログラムの編成を行えたことが大きな成果であった。
