| Research Abstract |
ハロセン麻酔下で除脳したネコの四肢をトレッドミル上に置き、中脳歩行誘発野(MLR)に微小電極を刺入して連続微小電気刺激を加え、トレッドミル上で歩行運動を誘発した。動物の歩容は、MLRへの刺激強度とトレッドミルに速さを変えることにより、slow一walkからgallopまで変化させた。呼吸リズムは横隔膜の筋電図で、心拍リズムは心電図のRーRインタ-バルで、歩行リズムは後肢・腓腹筋の筋活動で評価した。また、それら3つのリズム間の相互結合を、相互相関およびコヒ-レンス解析により定量的に評価した。安静時においては明確に認められた心拍リズムと呼吸リズム間の結合(cardioーrespiratory coupling,CーR coupling)が、歩行運動中には減弱する傾向が認められた。また、両側の迷走神経を切断し、呼吸中枢に対するfeedback afferentsおよび循環系に対する副交感神経系の影響を遮断した状態では、安静時におけるCーR couplingが著しく減弱するが、歩行運動時にはむしろ結合強化が起こり、CーR couplingに対する歩行運動効果の反転現象が存在した。一方、歩行リズムと呼吸リズム間の結合(locomotorーrespiratory coupling,LーR coupling)は動物の歩容に依存して変化し、gallop時には著しく結合が強化され、2つのリズムがほぼ1:1で同期する現象が認められた。それらリズム間の結合様式は、心拍リズムが呼吸リズムによって変調され、呼吸リズムが歩行リズムによって変調されるが、それらの逆結合は極めて弱いか存在しないものと考えられる。よって、複数生体リズム間の相互作用はほぼ一方向性結合であり、可変結合型の階層性を有するものと推定された。
