| Research Abstract |
今年度の研究は、(1)福島県磐城沖約40kmの洋上に設置されたプラットフォームと西部太平洋上で船舶を用いて採取した大気中における二酸化炭素濃度および炭素同位体の経時・地域変動と、大気・海洋間の二酸化炭素分圧の季節変化につき系統的測定を実施(中澤)
(2)岩手県気仙郡三陸町において大気球を用いてクライオサンプリング法により採取された成層圏大気試料の二酸化炭素の放射性炭素の経年変動と木曽ヒノキ樹輪に固定されている過去の対流圏大気中核実験起源放射性炭素濃度の経年変動を用いて成層圏一対流圏の2ボックス交換モデルを仮定し、両圏間の二酸化炭素交換速度を算定(中村)
(3)冬期の本州東方太平洋上で、荒天時における海水中のラドン( ^<222>Rn)濃度を測定し ^<222>Rnと ^<226>Raの非平衡量の積分値から風速の大きい際の交換速度を算出(角皆)
(4)中部沖縄トラフにおける深海底熱水涌水系中の二酸化炭素とハイドレートの地球化学的各種分析から沖縄トラフ型熱水系の特性と炭素循環について新知見を生み(酒井)
(5)二酸化炭素の海洋投棄に関連する現場実験として、セジメントトラップによる炭酸カルシウムの深層水内溶解実験を行い、深海貯留の液体二酸化炭素が流出した際の炭酸カルシウムによる中和効果の評価をし、日本海溝のような凹地に液体二酸化炭素を貯留し漏出があった場合には炭酸カルシウムによる中和にはあまり期待できないと結論(野崎)
(6)昨年度同様黒潮海域の現生造礁性ハマサンゴ群体の年間成長輪別による、表層海水中の放射性炭素比放射能の測定から大気・海洋間交換速度を算定しさらに長期にわたる海水中(および大気中)放射性炭素の経年変化に注目し同一試料の ^<230>Th年代と放射性炭素比放射能年代の較差から、宇宙線変動による大気中放射性炭素濃度の変動が表層海水の放射性炭素濃度に及ぼす影響の検討にも着手した(小西・小村)。
