Research Abstract

新に開発した干渉偏光計の時空間特性を調べる目的を兼ねて、強誘電性液晶セルの電圧印加時における動的2次元複屈折特性を調べた。これにより、本干渉偏光計の有用性を実証した。
分光画像のデータ圧縮を目的とした均等化誤差自己組織化ネットワークを用いることにより、ベクトル量子化器の2段接続方式データ圧縮アルゴリズムを実現した。これにより、一段量子化器アリゴリズムに比べて格段の高速化が実現された。
レーザー光を利用したコンピュータトモグラフィを実現するための3つの基本条件「指向性」「吸収の線形性」「直進行の利用」に関して、生体サンプルに光ヘテロダイン検出技術を適用することにより、詳細な実験検討を行った。その結果、これらの基本条件の実現が可能であることが確認された。
2部グラフ構造トポロジーと最適問題に解を与えるための分布型実現方式を組合せたシステムについて、いくつかの利点を明確にした。さらに、欠陥のあるハードウェアのいくつかの問題点に関して、その許容性を明らかにするとともに、内部単位の結線時の重み付けの方法も明らかにした。
多次元インターフェログラムの時空間宿退という概念を導入し、仮想波面発生の原理とその応用について検討した。さらに、基礎実験によりその実現の可能性を模索するとともに、今後の応用展開を検討した。
BSO結晶を用いた結合フーリェ変換相関光学系を考案し、画像の相関が準実時間で演算されることを実証した。この方式では、コヒーレント光波の使用により、光の位相情報が有効利用されるため、複素ベクトル画像情報の相関演算が期待される。
アゾ系色素・メチルレッド含有ポリビニルアルコール(PVA)膜は、光誘起異方性に基づく光書き込み型の空間光変調器としての機能を有することを見出した。これを2つの画像間の演算に応用し、画像のポジ・ネガ出力を得ること及び画像の部分的ポジ・ネガ反転を可能とした。
