Research Abstract	本年度得られた主な成果は以下のとおりである。 1.LiNbO3導波路薄膜のレーザアブレーションによる作製に成功した。グレーティングスケール変位読取光集積デバイス、電気光学高分子導波路を用いた光集積スポット変調デバイスを提案、基本動作を確認した。〔西原〕2.光導波路および制御用電極の材料ならびに作製法/加工法の研究を進め、エピタキシャル強誘電体光導波路を用いたマイクロ波帯光変調素子を試作し有効性を明かにした。〔井筒〕3.導波路各部の光学的非線形強度が異なる光導波路デバイスの数値解析ならびにデバイス設計を行い、実現性を示した。〔末田〕4.チャープトグレーティングを利用して、DFB半導体レーザーの発振波長可変範囲を拡大し、0.8μm帯で従来よりも2.2nm広い可変幅を得た。DFBレーザ直接変調時の発振波長変動を制御する新たな分布電極構造を提案、試作した。〔多田〕5.低損失リブ形磁気光学導波路の作製法を検討し、損失を6.8dB/cmまで低減した。非相反移相形アイソレータ用テーパ形分岐結合器を試作し、波長依存性が小さいことを実証した。〔内藤〕6.線幅30nmの歪量子細線レーザを作製し、世界初の室温連続発振を達成、量子細線特有のスペクトル特性を確認した。終端安定化硫黄原子層にSTM加工により20nmの超微細描画を達成した。〔古屋〕7.多層構造MSSW光スイッチ、光ニューロスイッチ、Nd:YGG結晶薄膜を用いた導波路型光増幅素子、導波路結合型SHG素子、コリニア音響光学スイッチなどの高効率化、高密度集積化を検討した。〔宮崎〕8.電子空乏化を利用した半導体光変調器/光スイッチのメカニズムを再検討し、不純物濃度を最適化し、平面型素子に於て7.5Vの電圧変化で90%以上の消光比を得た。〔山田〕9.面状有機蛍光発光薄膜ダイオードに波長オーダの微小共振器構造を組み込んだ発光素子を提案、作製し、発光スペクトルの先鋭化および発光指向性の発現を確認した。〔筒井〕
