Research Abstract

1.大腸菌染色体分配に関与するmukB遺伝子の上流に存在するofr50の破壊株を解析して、この遺伝子(mukFと命名)もmkB遺伝子と同じく染色体分配に関与することを明らかにした(平賀)。
2.ヒト染色体セントロメア領域に存在するアルフォイドDNA中のCEN-B-BoxとCEN-B蛋白の複合体の高次構造について解析した(岡崎)。
3.トポイソメラーゼIIαとIIβの両方の活性阻害をする抗体を注入すると細胞は中記まで進がそれ以後は進まないことを明らかにした(菊池)。
4.大腸菌のトポイソメラーゼIV(parCとparE)と相互作用をする蛋白質を検索することを目標として、dominant negativeなparC変異を抑制する多重コピー抑制遺伝子を多数分離し、解析した(加藤)。
5.FtsH蛋白は熱ショック転写因子δ32を分解するATP、Zn++依存性の新しいタイプの蛋白分解酵素であることを明らかにした(小椋)。
6.DNA合成阻害時においても細胞分裂の阻害が起こりにくいcfcA、cfcB変異がそれぞれglyS、apaHの変異であることを明らかにし、細胞内のAppppAの量が細胞分裂の頻度を調節していることを明らかにした(西村昭子)。
7.Fプラスミドの分配遺伝子sopBの欠失が宿主細胞の増殖を阻害する現象を解析して、この増殖阻害現象はsopB欠失のミニFプラスミドでは見られないが、このミニFプラスミドに30〜40kb以上の長いDNA断片を挿入すると強く表れることを明らかにした(三木)。
