| Research Abstract |
本年度の研究代表者および分担者による研究実績の概要は以下の通りである。山本(代表):温帯・亜寒帯林の更新動態とギャップデータの収集・解析からこれらの森林のギャップ攪乱体制を明らかにした、巌佐:更新動態および種多様性の数理モデルの作成と解析から、格子モデルによる縞枯れ型更新動態の数理モデルの提示と種多様性の緯度勾配を説明するモデルを作成した。神崎:熱帯・温帯・亜寒帯林の更新データの収集・解析から亜寒帯林の更新動態の総括および先駆樹種の生活史特性を解明した。中村:更新動態と地表変動の時空間スケールの関係を北海道を中心とする渓畔林の調査から実態的に解明した。川口:熱帯・温帯林の更新動態と物質循環機構に関わる調査から物質集積の程度が樹種の更新に大きな影響を及ぼすことを示唆する結果を得た。甲山:熱帯・温帯・亜寒帯林の更新動態データの収集・解析から樹種の共存に森林構造が多大な影響を与えている結果を得、それをもとにモデルを作成した。浅野:熱帯・温帯林の更新動態データの収集・解析から、一次遷移初期の群落動態の特性と種多様性維持機構の関係について解明した。これらの成果の一部については平成5年に開催された多くの国際会議や国際研究集会にて講演、発表するとともに、第15回国際植物学会議の際に全メンバー参加のワークショップを開催した。また、平成6年1月に岡山にて全メンバー参加のワークショップを開催し、今年度の研究成果をとりまとめレポートを作成するとともに、次年度の研究計画を再検討した。
