Research Abstract

この総合研究は、広領域の研究者が協力し、生命現象をつかさどる基本原理を徹底的に検討することを目標に進められた。したがって、研究会は重要な行事の一つで、平成6年7月17日から19日に研究会が開かれた。
研究会中、研究代表者が司会して、「生命現象に現われる階層性」についての自由討論を行われた。それは、この総合研究を通して、この概念についての理解を深めたいという目的のために行われたものである。その結果、階層性は生物を含むいろいろな分野でも使われる概念であり、生物であるが故に現われる特徴的な階層性を明らかにするところまでには現在のところ至っていないというのが、共通の認識のようでである。生物の特徴は、階層性と不決定性の両者の上に立ってはじめてより明確になると考えられるが、不決定性の概念を深めることはさらに難しいことが判った。
研究会では、上田哲男氏の「解糖系と細胞代謝における時空関ダイナミクス」、武者利光氏の「人間の感情がはかれるか」、北原和夫の「開放系の反応シミュレーションの解析」、岩澤宏氏の「生体系の情報力学」、松野孝一郎氏の「熱雑音の変調とその冷凍化」、沢田康次氏のグループの川島久佳氏の「内外逆転生体の再生過程」、櫛田孝司氏のグループの兼松康男氏の「ミオグロビンの低振動モード」、甲斐昌一氏のグループの金谷晴一氏の「卵白のゲル-ガラス転移」、吉川研一氏の「DNAの非平衡相転移と多重安定性」、平川一美氏のグループの南田純氏の「日常心拍モニタリングのための心機能指標」、垣谷俊昭氏のグループの吉森明氏の「海洋における生態系モデル」等についての多彩なまた広領域からの講演があった。
今回の研究会では、とくに若手研究者の参加を得て、活発な討論が展開されたことが収穫であった。この点で、今後の発展が大いに期待される。
