Research Abstract |
IN THIS STUDY,LEVEL-UP OF THE METHOD OF LONG TERM ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESMENT ON THE INCINERATION AND LANDFILLING OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND RATIONALIZE OF INCINERATION AND LANDFILLING OF THE WASTE.WERE EXAMINED.THE MAIN RESEARCH RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS. 1.ON THE RISK ASSESMENT METHOD TAKING ACCOUNT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ACCUMULATION OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IN THE INCINERATOR GAS,A MODEL SIMULATION ON HEAVY METALS WAS PERFORMED.THE RESULT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE CONCENTRATION OF MERCURY IN SOIL IS MAYBE HIGHER THAN ITS ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARD ON SOIL,BY ITS ACCUMULATION ONTO SOIL. 2.ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL ACCUMULATIVE MONITORING OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IN THE INCINERATOR GAS,FIELD RESEARCH FOR AGRICULTURAL LAND IN KYOTO CITY WAS EXAMINED.THE RESULT IS THAT SOIL POLLUTION BY HEAVY METALS ACCUMULATE. 3.ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESMENT OF THE LEACHATE FROM A LANDFILL WITH INCINERATED ASH FROM MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE,A LABORATORY EXPERIMENT ON THE CHANGE OF POTENTIAL OF ORGANIC HALOGEN FORMATION WAS PERFORMED.THE RESULT IS THAT THE LEACHATE TREATMENT BY REVERSE OSMOSIS IS EFFECTIVE FOR DECREASE OF THE POTENTIAL. 4.ON THE STABILIZED TREATMENT OF FLY ASH FORMED IN THE INCINERATOR GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM BY CALCIUM COMPOUND,A LABORATORY EXPERIMENT ON LEACHING OF HAZARDOUS METALS WITH SOLIDIFICATION BY CEMENT WAS PERFORMED.THE RESULT IS THAT THE LEACHING AMOUNTS OF CADMIUM AND ZINC INCREASE WHEN THEIR SOLVENT IS ACETIC ACID.
