Research Abstract |
To get the whole view of the history of early modern Waka. the precise hold of Waka books is very important. Because they occupy the most part of published Japanese books at that time. The realm of Waka books includes not only Waka anthologies and commentaries, but also stories, travel sketches and essays, which are deeply concerned with Waka. Though the systematical study for fore early modern Waka has now started its progress, but as late early modern, lack of study is conspicuous. Accordingly, in taking a view of them we thought it urgent to put all the waka books which were published in the late early modern period. We throughly examined the books which have any concern with waka, and aimed to gain a very correct and convenient chronological table endowed with necessary items. The chronological table we present covers all the Waka books - their titles, authors, publishers and related informations - which are selected out of the data in ''microfilm data base'' at National Institute of Japanese Literature.
