| Research Abstract |
観測的宇宙論では通常、宇宙の大域的構造として一様,等方のモデルが用いられるが、現実の宇宙は密度の大きな揺らぎがある。従ってそのような非一様な物質分布における光の伝播の研究が重要になる。
本研究では、まず一般相対論に基づいて、局所的には非一様であるが平均化すると一様、等方の時空になるような時空の構成法をいくつかの方法で示した。これによって現実的な宇宙の十分より近似がえられ、それをもとに光の伝播を研究した。
その結果、従来用いられていた宇宙論的な距離の公式(赤方偏移-距離関係)は、赤方偏移が大きい、すなわち非常に遠方では、かなり大きな修正を受けることが判明した。
また宇宙の構造を決める重要な要素の一つである宇宙定数について、重力レンズを用いたその観測可能性を論じた。これによって数多くの重力レンズ現象の統計的性質を用いれば、宇宙定数が測定可能であること、及び宇宙の膨張速も減速率も観測可能であることが判明した。
さらに宇宙における密度揺らぎの成長を近似するビルドビッチ近似について研究し、宇宙定数が存在する場合にその近似を拡張した。この近似法を用いて、非一様モデル宇宙を計算機でつくり、そこで多数の光を飛ばせて、理論的に導いた赤方偏移-距離関係を正当性を確かめる研究に着手した。現在までのところ数値計算の結果、理論的予想にほぼ一致する結果を得ている。
