| Research Abstract |
1.太陽系空間に存在する不規則形状塵を、フラクタル塵モデルで表わし、その光散乱特性を定量化する試みを続行した。平成4年度の、吸収・放射圧特性の波長依存性の研究に引き続き、平成5年度は、散乱特性の散乱角依存性についてまとめた。Discrete Dipole Approximationの有効性を示すと共に、Maxwell-Garnett Mie理論の適用限界を明確に示した。
2.惑星間の塵の運動は、太陽散乱光のドプラー効果によって観測的に検討されてきた。従来、謎とされていたドプラー効果の観測結果を、理論的に再検討し、方程式の不備を指摘すると共に、不規則形状塵による光散乱効果が効くことを示した。特に塵構造が、太陽に近づくにつれて、変化することを予測した点が特徴である。
3.不規則体による光散乱理論を、小惑星表面に応用し、その偏光特性と4179Toutatisの観測結果の比較を行った。小惑星表面が、異なるあらさを持った不均質領域に被われていることを示唆した。
