Research Abstract	1.3次のChakravarthy-Osherスキームに補正項を加え高次にするときに、解は不安定になる傾向にある。この不安定性を、曲率をMINMOD関数で制限し、変曲点が現われないようにすることによって除去した。 2.有限要素法によって円柱まわりの流れを3次元的に解析し、実験に良く合う抗力を求めた。8接点アイソパラメトリック要素と、ガウス求積法の代わりに解析的手法を使用。円柱後方に縦渦を確認することができた。 3.層流から乱流への遷移、発達した乱流の直接数値シミュレーションをもとに、空間6次精度以上で打切り誤差が流れ場に影響しなくなり、スペクトル法で計算したものに遜色のない結果の得られることを確認した。 4.非定常圧縮性流れ問題のための領域分割陽的時間分割積分法を開発した。この方法は、構造格子または非構造格子に対し、セルグループごとに異なる適切な時間間隔を用いることにより計算効率を上げるものである。 5.3次元非構造格子を形成するために、まず物体表面に直接法で表面曲率を考慮して三角形格子を形成、デロ-ニ-分割にもとずき四面体格子を形成、またプリズム/四面体ハイブリッド格子の自動形成法を研究した。 6.ボルツマン方程式のDSMC法により、乱流研究のため、テイラー・クエット流れを計算した。現在まで周回するテイラー渦を伴う3次元層流を得ることができたが、更に密度をふやし完全乱流の実現を目指している。 7.「何を、どこを見るべきか?」を判断してくれるインテリジェントな可視化処理システム、feature probeを開発した。スカラー量の極値、その最大勾配、ベクトル量の焦面、鞍点、ノードなども表示できる。高精度スキームで、高迎角翼まわりの流れ、遷音速タービン翼列流れ、衝撃波の入射する極超音速鈍頭物体まわりの流れなどの衝撃波と渦を含む非定常流れ問題を解き、流れ現象の詳細を明らかにした。
