Research Abstract	1.遺伝子特異的RNA結合蛋白:大腸菌で発現させた5種のタバコ葉緑体RNA結合蛋白はUVクロス・リンク実験の結果、petDの3'非翻訳領域とtrnF、trnEYDの前駆体領域に結合することを明らかにした。また、これら3種の基質を用いた免疫沈降実験でcp28とcp31が検出された。従って、RNA結合蛋白は比較的多種のRNAに結合すると考えられる。 2.RNA結合蛋白とその遺伝子:タバコ葉緑体cp33をコードする新しいcDNA、33k-6、を分離・解析した。このcDNAは3'側に78bpの挿入配列を持つためC-末端側のアミノ酸配列はcp33と異なる。この遺伝子を単離・解析したところ、この78bpの配列は第3イントロンに由来することが明らかになり、33k-6 cDNAはオルタナテイブ又は不完全スプライシングによるものであることを示した。この遺伝子の上流域にはTATAボックスは見られず転写開始点も複数個所あるため、ハウスキーピング遺伝子と考えられる。 3.In Vitro翻訳系:タバコ葉緑体の抽出液より翻訳系の開発を進め、ポリ(U)を鋳型として高い活性を得た。引続き葉緑体mRNAを用いて系の効率化に努めている。
