| Research Abstract |
本研究の目的は,科学技術計算の計算過程や計算結果に現れるさまざまなグラフや3次元の立体図などを手軽にグラフィックディスプレイやプリンターで出力するためのGKS準拠のソフトを開発することにある.本研究グループでは,まず数度の研究打ち合わせ会を開き,各人が専門とする分野における実際の数値計算でどのようなグラフや3次元図形が現れるかについて相互に情報を交換し,本研究で必要とされるソフトが当初の計画通りのもので十分であることを確認した.
一方,そのソフトを使用する装置として,SPARC用X-terminalおよびPC9821-Bpを購入した.PC9821-Bpのためのソフトは研究計画書に記述した通りすでにその骨格はできているが,今年度はX-terminalのためのソフトとして,X-Windows用のGKS準拠の基本プログラムの作成を開始した.今年度はGKSシステム全体の完成には至っていないが,線画,塗りつぶし,セグメント処理などの基本的なプログラムの作成を行った.これらのプログラムはC言語で書き,これをすべてFORTRANからCALLできる.また,関数表示,等高線,3次元立体図,3次元立体図における等高線間の塗りつぶしなどのプログラムのX-Windowsへの移植も行った.これらの図形はPostscript形式でプリンターに出力できることもできるようにした.さらに,精細なグレイスケールによる塗りつぶしなど前者にない機能も加えることができた.
この結果,今年度の研究は当初の研究計画通りに順調に遂行することができ,次年度へ向けて継続できることになった.
