| Research Abstract |
本研究はの目的は,科学技術計算の計算過程や計算結果に現れるさまざまなグラフや3次元の立体図などを手軽にグラフィックディスプレイやプリンターで出力するためのGKS準拠のソフトを,FORTRANの形で開発することにある.
今年度は研究の2年目にあたるが,ソフトウェアの開発は予定通り順調に進んでいる.とくに,初年度に購入したSPARC用Xterminalのためのソフトとして,XWindouws用のGKS準拠の基本プログラムの作成は大方が完成した.すなわち,線画,塗りつぶし,セグメント処理などのXWindows用の基本的なプログラムはほぼ完成し,現在はさまざまなサービスルーチンを作成しているところである.このサービスルーチンには,関数データだけを与えれば自動的に表示座標系を計算して関数のグラフを表示したり,3次元立体図の表示枠に自動的に座標値を付したりするものも含まれている.
XWindowsのための基本的なプログラムはC言語で書き,これらをすべてFORTRANからCALLできるようにした.また,関数表示,等高線,三次元立体図,3次元立体図における等高線間の塗りつぶしなどのプログラムのX-Windowsへの移植も完了し、連続的な色調の塗りつぶしや、グレイスケールによる塗りつぶしも出いるようになった.これらの図形はPostscript形式でプリンターに出力できることもできる.
以上の結果,今年度の研究は当初の研究計画通りに順調に遂行することができ,最終年度である次年度へ向けて継続できることになった.
