Research Abstract |
For realyzing both functions of magnetic bearings and AC motor on the same rotor, +2 or -2 pole magnet is added addition to the usual motoring magnetic pole. This solution is realized for synchronous and induction motors. Synchoronous motor has the merit of independent control capability of motoring and levitation, but the force is week. On the contrary, induction motor has the merit of strong rotor which causes high rotating speed capability. However, it has the defects of spending energy in the rotor. A new idea of using the internal magnet rotor for levitated motor is proposed which is expected to cause both merits of induction and synchronous motors. A stator which has two of the 3 phase winding is made to confirm the proposed motor. The experimental results are giving relatively strong levitated force and good rotating property.
