| Research Abstract |
対応するジカチオン種の芳香族性を調べる目的で、大環状共役ジケトン化合物(1)、(2)および(3)を体系的に合成することを試みた。
合成は、ほぼ予想通り進行し、(1)については26員環から34員環まで、(2)については20員環から32員環まで合成することができ、それらの性質を明らかにすることができた。
また、(3)の合成については、最終段階でのカップリング反応によって、目的の(3)ではなく、(4)が生成した。(4)は極めて強い環電流効果を示すジカチオン種を生成し、その環電流効果は環が大きくなるとともに増大するという、従来に例のない結果を得ることができた。
今後は、(4)が生成する反応機構について、研究を進めたいと考えている。
