Research Abstract	非ベンゼン系芳香族化合物のうち、従来性質が検討されていなかった大環状ジケトン化合物(1)(2)および(3)を体系的に合成し、それらの性質、特に芳香族性についての知見を得る目的で研究を行った。 (3)の合成については、最終段階でのカップリング反応によって、目的の(3)ではなく、ジクロロプタトリエン結合を含む(4)が生成した。(4)は極めて強い還電流効果を示すジカチオン種を生成し、その還電流効果は環が大きくなるとともに増大するという、従来に例のない結果が得られた。また、アズレン環が縮環した化合物群(5)および(6)を合成し、14π-および16π-電子系アヌレンに対する縮環の効果を検討した。
