| Research Abstract |
The object of this research is to establish a critical edition of Stephane Mallarmes works, on computer, in form of "hyper-text".
Usual critical editions, printed on papers, have an important inconvenience : to be limited to 2 dimensions.
To make a comparison on 3 or more dimensions (ex.fragment a1 on version A becomes fragment b1 on version B,and joins b2 came from version C), papers are not sufficient, another form of text is required. And the "hyper-text", realized on computer, is that form permitting a free connection between numerous points of numerous levels.
We use Macintosh's database software "HyperCard" to organize our hyper-text. Starting with "Mallarme's Text Database" already established by us, we 1) wrote a HyperCard script to read texts into HyperCard stacks, 2) worked out a set of scripts to control the system of reference and comparison, 3) executed textual criticisms, 4) and finished our "hyper-text" edition of some works of Mallarme.
