| Research Abstract |
1.今年度行われた学会、シンポジウム、研究集会等において、超越数論の研究発表、情報交換、交流および資料収集の面で多くの成果があった。
2.特に、平成5年10月に京都大学で行われたシンポジウムでは、マーラー関数、多様体と超越性及び整数点の分布等についての講演が行われた。
3.次に、当研究費補助金を運営その他の費用として、平成6年1月に学習院大学で行われた第4回超越数論研究集会では、16名の講演者により、超越数論の種々の結果の紹介や新しい研究の発表があり、非常に有意義な会であった。その研究集会の主なテーマは、
(1)マーラー級数、空隙級数、幾何級数などの値の超越性、
(2)連分数の種々相と超越数、
(3)楕円関数、楕円曲線と超越理論、
(4)有理近似と超越測度、
等があげられる。これらはいづれも、更に研究が続けらるべきテーマである。
4.これまでの研究集会と同じく、当研究費補助金によって、今回も上記研究集会の報告集を出すことができた。この特色の一つである文献集も、引き続いてのせられている。
