| Research Abstract |
本邦の62場所でヒメカンスゲを1200株以上を採集し、染色体数の算定を行った結果、2n=32,33,34,36,37,38の6種類の種内異数体が本種で観察された。2n=32の種内異数体は中国地方の瀬戸内沿岸地域、島興部さらに四国地方の瀬戸内沿岸地域に分布することがわかった。また、2n=36は中国、四国九州地方に広く分布することが明らかになった。この2系統が隣接して生育している3場所では中間型がみられなかったことから、この2種類の異数体の間には開花期のずれなどの遺伝的隔離があるものと考えられる。雄小穂、雌小穂、果嚢、痩果等の外部形態の比較に関しては、2n=32,34,36の種内異数体間で有為な差がみられた。特に、小穂の形態に関して大きな違いが認められ、異数性により外部形態にも分化が生じていることが明らかになった。17集団318個体について酵素多型を分析し、集団間の遺伝的分化について調べた結果、2n=32,34,36は次の3つのクラスターに分けられた。【.encircled1.】瀬戸内沿岸地域の2n=32,【.encircled2.】中国山地と四国山地の2n=36.【.encircled3.】山陰地方の2n=36と東日本の2n=34.特に、2n=32の個体は遺伝的に非常に近いクラスターを形成しており、環境に適応してごく最近分化した種内異数体であることが明らかになった。2n=32,34,36の種内異数体間で交雑実験を行った。2n=32×2n=34,2n=32×2n=36,2n=34×2n=36の組み合わせでF_1植物が得られ、種内異数体間の交雑が可能であることがわかった。
