Research Abstract |
In mountan region of Japan, many young people went to metropoltan regions and big cities throughout high economic growth era since 1965. So that result, the population of many hamlets have decreased and been one-sided the age class of their residents. In this research, we aimed to make up systems for regional autonomy and to stop the phenomena of decreasing of people. So we selected two research areas in Wakayama Prefecture by examining various statistic data, Soukawa of Miyama Village and Kafu of Oto Village. In case of Soukawa, we investigated on the actual condition and the transition of regional systems that were constituted of economics, social, political, life and spacial system. We found out various problems and made up plans to solve them. We checked usefullness of these plans by hearing opinions from many and various rasidents. Kafu was organized in 1970-71 thorough remove from upper hamlets of Oto Village. We investigated the formative process of new regional systems and their actual condition. Residents of Kafu made up new systems and devised their way of life. We confirmed the necessity of cooperation and symbol in making new systems there. We called these "cultural system". These facts suggestted the necessity of cultural system in case of reorganization of hamlets. We reached to a final conclusion that regional autonomy was costituted of not only economic, political, social, life and spacial systems, but also cultulal system.
