| Research Abstract |
本研究の目的は、リーマン・ゼータ関数の古典的理論に立脚しつつ等質空間の理論を援用して、新たな見地をうち立てることにある。この立場から次のような結果を得た。
リーマン・ゼータ関数と非ユークリッド・ラプラシアンとの本質的な関係の発見:
これは、リーマン・ゼータ関数の臨界線上における値が、非ユークリッド・ラプラシアンの固有値によって書き下せることの証明であるが、さらに、逆にリーマン・ゼータ関数によって、ヘッケL-関数の理論が再構築できるという意外が方向に発展しつつある。すなわち、等質空間論の中核に位置する一群のL-関数がリーマン・ゼータ関数によって統一的に議論できる可能性が生れたことになる。
本成果によつて、本研究代表者は、ドイツ国立オーベルヴォルファッハ数学研究所における解析的整数論国際研究集会(平成6年3月)にて招請講演の機会を得ている。
