Research Abstract	1.in situ hybridization法を用い、PGE受容体EP_3サブタイプの脳、神経系での発現部位の同定を試みた。その結果、この受容体mRNAのシグナルが脳と知覚神経節に広く分布し、かつ、神経細胞に特異的に発現しているのを認めた。後根神経節及び三叉神経節では、約半数のneuron(とくに小型neuron)に強い発現を認めた。また、脳では、アンモン角、視来前核、外側視床下部、内側視床下部、外側乳頭体、黒質、縫線核、青斑核などに強い陽性細胞を認めた。また、嗅球の僧帽細胞、嗅内野のV層、大脳皮質のV、VI層などにも中程度陽性のneuronを認めた。これらのことからPGE_2が、全身循環よりの炎症刺激の脳へのmessengerとしてのみでなく、脳内固有機能の調節因子として働いていることが示唆された。 2.脳に働いて睡眠誘導をおこすとされているPGD_2の受容体遺伝子をマウスゲノムで同定し、発現実験により同受容体の性質を明らかにした。 3.ラット縫線核においてEP_3アゴニストを用いて電気生理実験を行い、EP_3が受容体を介して非特異的カチオンチャンネルの制御を行うことを見出した。
