Research Abstract

植物体内を転流する糖のレベルによって種々の器官代謝機能に関わる遺伝子発現が調節されるが、糖応答性遺伝子の5'-上流域にTGGACGG配列よりなる糖応答性エレメントが同定され、この配列への核タンパク質の結合活性は組織の糖処理によって増加することが明らかになった(中村)。糖応答性遺伝子発現にはタンパク質のリン酸化・脱リン酸化、それにCa^<2+>-情報伝達系が関与し、組織への糖供与が細胞内Ca^<2+>濃度の増加をもたらすことが示され(中村)、根や葉での窒素同化に関わる遺伝子の硝酸シグナルによる誘導にもタンパク質のリン酸化・脱リン酸化反応やCa^<2+>情報伝達系が関与することが示唆された(杉山)。トランスジェニックイネにおけるヒストン遺伝子の分裂組織での発現はヘキサマーやG-boxモチーフによって規定され(島本)、これら配列に結合するbZIP型因子の間で複合体形成が起こることが示され、またG-box結合因子には潜在的な転与活性化領域があることが明らかになった(飯)。イネのbZIP型DNA結合因子cDNAの中の一つであるOSBZ8はABA応答性エレメントに特異的に結合するタンパク質をコードし、ABAによる誘導に先だって発現が誘導されることからABA誘導性遺伝子発現にかかわる転写制御因子であることが示唆された(服部)。タバコのnic1,nic2遺伝子はニコチン生合成系遺伝子群の根での発現を制御する遺伝子であることが示され(橋本)、シロイヌナズナのメチオニンを過剰蓄積するmto1-1変異株では母方遺伝子型によって種子貯蔵タンパク質遺伝子の発現が制御されることが明らかになり(内藤)、糖応答性遺伝子発現が抑制された変異株lsi1では葉の正常な成長が糖濃度依存的に異常になった(中村)。トランスジェニック植物において、細胞内アデニンヌクレオチドバランスを調節するアデニレートキナーゼの遺伝子発現レベルを人為的に操作すると成長に顕著な影響が現れた(内宮)。
