希薄及び濃厚溶液中における天然・合成高分子の構造一物性相関に関する研究

Research Abstract

イメージングプレートを検出部に用いた高分子溶液研究用IP-X線小角散乱測定装置を設計、注文製作し、設置した。実験法を確立するために高分子固体及び溶液について予備実験を行った。ただし地震により製作装置の一部が破損したため、高分子溶液についての実験、とくに解析法の確立が当初の予定より少し遅れた。散乱強度の正確な角度分布が決定できるようにするには予備実験を次年度の前半も続行する必要がある。
装置の製作、実験法の確立と並行して、屈曲性の異なる種々の高分子の試料調製並びに現有設備による分子量、粘度、旋光度測定、顕微鏡観察等を行った。これまでに得られた新たな知見は以下の通りである。(1)屈曲性高分子(ポリスチレン、ポリイソブチレン)のシ-タ点近傍における第3ビリアル係数には従来の理論で無視されている三体セグメント相互作用が重要な役割を果たす。(2)希薄溶液中におけるNa塩型ヒアルロン酸(高イオン強度の水溶液中)およびセルローストリス-3,5-ジメチルフェニルカルバメートの粘度挙動は半屈曲性を示し、みみず鎖モデルによって説明できる。(3)セルローストリフェニルカルバニレートの溶液はある濃度以上でコレステリック液晶を形成する。(4)アミロースは溶媒の種類にかかわらず不規則ならせん形態を有する屈曲性鎖である。(5)光学活性ポリイソシアナ-トのらせん構造の反転は一次元協同現象として統計力学的に記述できる。(6)比較的高分子量領域におけるポリヘキシルイソシアナ-ト等方濃度溶液の動的並びに静的(光散乱)挙動はみみず鎖をモデルとした理論でほぼ定量的に説明できる。
