Research Abstract

本研究の主目的の一つは、エルゴード理論のアイデアと手法が、数学の関連する諸分野の研究において、如何に有効に使われるかを、綜合的に追求することであるが、今年度は特に、解析数論、確立論、非線型解析学、グラフ理論、トポロジー等の分野において活発な研究が行われ,いくつかの成果を上げることが出来た。以下分野別に説明する。
1.エルゴード理論と解析数論の諸問題との係り合いについては、(1)II_∞型エルゴード変換に付随するexhaustiveな弱遊走数列と整数集合Zの直和分解Z=A【symmetry】Bの間の密接な関連について新らしい知見が得られ、この関係を通して、直和分解に現われる集合の特徴づけが得られると共に、II_∞型変換の細分類に関して新らしい手がかりが得られた。(伊藤)。(2)A・Schmidtに依るGanss数体に関する連分数の近似訣差のangleの一様分布性が、エルゴード定理を用いることによって示された(仲田)。(3)3次元ビリヤードの符号列のcomplexityについてのRauzy予想を解決した(塩川).(4)Sarnakに依って提唱された「量子的エルゴード性」に関して3次元多様体の場合に、いくつかの新らしい結果が得られた(小山).
2.確率論に関連するものとしては、(1)ドリフトを持つブラウン媒質の中の拡散過程に対して種々の極限定理が示された(田中)。(2)自己相似過程と定常過程の間の非線型変換に着目し、定常性の検定を応用して、確率過程の自己相似性の検定を行うことに成功した(前島)
3.非線型解析学に関しては、3次元完全流体中の滑らかで細い渦糸の運動を表す局所誘導方程式の初期値問題、初期-境界値問題の時間大域解の構成に成功した(谷)。
4.グラフ理論及びトポロジーについては、(1)連結グラフの頂点集合の分割に関するFrank予想を解決した(榎本)(2)3次元球面の新らしい特徴づけを与える条件を見出した(石井)
