Research Abstract |
In this study.shear failure after flexural yielding of RC beams for beams and beam-column joints were investigated by the structural tests with detailed measurement. The confinement of lateral reinforcement.the change of contribution ratios of shear resisting factors and the change process of shear resistance mechanisms were observed in the test. Nonlinear FEM analysis was also performed for the test specimens. From the observation of the analytical internal stress flow, the change process of shear resistance mechanisms after flexural yielding was investigated. The macroscopic model which is used in the AIJ design guideline of RC buildings based on the ultimate strength was verified to develop more rational design method by which the shear failure after flexural yielding of RC members was prevented.
