Research Abstract

The tested battery-car (electric vehicle) by three-phases induction motor drive system has the following feature ;
1. Three-phase induction motor
(1) The rated voltage of battery are 200v for the large machine system and 24v for small machine system.
(2) The small machine system is needed the special stator structure of the induction motor for the exciting current.
2. Controler of drive system
(1) Large machine ; IGBT PWM INVERTER
Small machine ; POWER MOSFET or IPM PWM INVERTER
(2) Control of system ; VECTOR CONTROL
(3) Energy charge in battery by the induction generator at sudden change of load and speed.
3. Tested machine system for practical use
(1) 1000cc and 1800cc class EV
(2) tricycle
(3) wagon bicycle
(4) motor bicycle
(5) forklift
(6) electric cart
(7) normal bicycle
(8) automatic carrier car
It become clear that the battery-car driven by induction motor has excellent performances for constant-speed and variable-speed drive.
