Research Abstract |
The effective refolding process was designed and proposed as the extractive refolding process using aqueous two-phase systems (ATPS) mediated with heat shock proteins (HSP) at higher temperature. In this integrated extractive refolding process which combined and exploited both functions of heat shock proteins and ATPS,the refolding rate can be accelerated suggesting the advantage of refolding at high temperature. Furthermore the activity obtained from more hydrophilic phase can be improved due to prevention of aggregation and to protection from heat inactivation of GroEL and refolded protein can be concentrated into the hydrophilic phase separating from the denatured protein.
